FAQs

Answer: It is a water based or granular substance that when applied to your decorative granite or bare ground inhibits seeds from germinating. We use a water based pre-emergent to help maximize control.

Answer: The ideal time to apply pre-emergent is prior to our anticipated rainy months here in southern Arizona. During winter months that would be November, December, January and during the summer months that would be May, June and July. We are focused on preventing weeds and the pre-emergent is by far the most important treatment we offer.

Answer: Like life itself, this is a imperfect science. The imperfection of the science of weed control is why we offer a guarantee which will be discussed at the initial consultation.

Answer: Yes, this is a necessity for best results if you just take a string trimmer to them. The pre-emergent has to get to the soil to be effective. If you don’t want to do this yourself any quality landscaper can help you. Contact us for a referral.

Answer: Yes, it is still effective. Watering in the pre-emergent is good for activating.

Answer: Temporarily, the color is called a spray indicator. It allows the applicator and client to know what has been sprayed and what hasn’t. It fades away with sunlight and/or rain within 10-14 days. Shaded areas may take longer.

Answer: No, it takes a specific material to do this and we don’t use them on residential properties. These products can be harmful to trees & landscape plants.

Answer: All applications of pre-emergent & post-emergent to decorative granite or dirt areas are guaranteed for 12 months if you sign up for our annual program. Otherwise, we guarantee our services for 30 days. You should avoid disturbing areas treated with pre-emergent, this may affect the chemical barrier.

Answer: We are very concerned to get the pre-emergent & post-emergent on only the targeted areas we intend to treat.

Answer: We recommend that pets and children be kept off the treated areas until the products used are dry. This will vary depending on the season.

Answer: Repeated applications of post-emergent is the best way other than hand digging. Perennials have a dense root system and while the surface plants can look dead, the roots are still alive. Repeated applications, especially when the leaf is nice and green, will eventually translocate the material to the root systemically and kill it.

Answer: No, we do not remove live, dead or dying weeds. The homeowner or property manager is responsible for removing ALL existing weeds, either live, dead and/or dying.

Answer: Residential properties will receive either 6 or 4 per year. This consists of 2 pre-emergent, 4 post-emergent timed accordingly or 2 pre-emergent and 2 post-emergent. The frequency works out to approx every other month service or quarterly service. We can recommend what program is best for you based on your situation.

Answer: We accept checks, cash and Zelle only.

Prices for all services are determined at time of initial consultation.
